I don't have your email, but as a fellow PM writer: Although I do love that Avalanches album, and would argue it does something very different from most of the 'sampledelic' efforts you rightly have problems with, that Broadcast/Focus group review was phenomenal. Especially the end part about the quality of supernatural unknowing. You really put your finger on it, I think.
